I myself have SOREL boots which I love and my daughter has Whitney suede boots and we are very happy with them and buy them year after year. BUT this fabric/nylon version of the Whitney is not waterproof at all. The first snow and my son's feet got wet and it wasn't wet snow at all. Very disappointed as otherwise they are comfortable. Bought for my 6 year old in late October to wear during the snow season (skiing and to school when it snows/ices). The boots are broken, the seams on the strap have come undone and now dangle when he puts them on, and they can't be tightened to keep the snow from getting into his foot.
