The best boots for the cold season

Amazingly warm boots that have withstood the recent Minnesota Polar Vortex. The legs were warm and well protected from ice and snow.

Pros
  • I liked the fit and durability. it was a gift
Cons
  • High Price - Sorel Boys' Youth Cheyanne II Lace Chukka Boots may be too expensive for some families, especially if they are also shopping for other winter gear.

perfect for snow, camping, mud =)

Toes don't get wet in these boots, they're waterproof yet breathable. They are very durable for my 7 year old scout boy and even fit well as winter boots.

Pros
  • Fits perfectly
Cons
  • Limited color options. While the black and burgundy color scheme may be appealing to some, others find the lack of variety a downside.

Same high quality Sorel

Bought cheap for my son. The colour/print is modern but the quality is what Sorel has always offered. I love the form and functionality of their boots. They never disappoint!

Pros
  • My grandson loved her
Cons
  • Bulky design. The style of chukka boots may not be as streamlined as some parents and children prefer. Boots can feel heavy and bulky, making them difficult to wear for long periods of time.

Perfect fit best in my rating

Perfect fit and boots for our 10 year old grandson. He walked a bit to the bus stop and it was a good choice. They have some insulation, they are soft and warm and well made. They keep his feet nice and dry before school. He wasn't sure if he would like them, now he wears them when it's not raining!

Pros
  • My son gets a seven for men. It was a seven, but they are listed as boys. Too small.
Cons
  • Difficult to clean. Black and red color schemes can easily show dirt and stains, making boots difficult to keep clean and presentable. Families may need to invest in a special cleaning product to keep boots looking their best.

Approved for little girls

I am a size 5.5-6 on women and I have these a size 4 (big baby) and they fit great. I thought I'd give them a try as they were sold at a very low price and so far I haven't been disappointed. They were a bit tight at first, but after a few days of wearing them around the house, they fit perfectly. I'm not a big fan of red laces so I'll probably switch to black, but other than that they're perfectly acceptable snowshoes for a small adult. Not too heavy or bulky but I think they will keep my feet

Pros
  • Boys
Cons
  • No performance
