Good kit! Everything you need has arrived

Nice set! Everything you need has arrived! The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because it's not true 8 gauge wiring. The insulation gives the impression, but the inner copper strand does not meet 8 gauge standards. In the end it still exceeded my needs for the 200 watt amp I bought it for.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Out of style

It works and does its job.

Definitely good value for money. I bought it because it was the cheapest option at the time. Installed everything in an hour. It had everything you need, in the end there were a few more spare parts. It might not be professional quality, but it seems perfectly capable of getting the job done. I would compare it to the brands sold in your regular supermarket.

  • Pleasant to use

Everything you need to connect the amplifier is included.

Very good set. I bought this to install a Rockville subwoofer/amplifier under the seat. I chose to do this because the Rockville kit would take longer to ship. It has a thicker power cord - 8 AWG vs. 10 AWG offered by Rockville. The only improvement I would make would be to have ring lugs in the kit to match the self tapping ground screw. I ended up using the ones I already had. This wasn't enough to lower the overall rating from 5 stars. The cables were long enough and they were very soft…

Good but simple - Car Electronics Accessory

I really needed a power cord but it was cheaper to buy the whole set. I have bought many of these cheap amp kits over the years and they are all about the same. not super high quality but good enough to get the job done. The power and ground wires seemed to be the nicest part of the kit. The felt is of good quality and had good copper wire. I think it's more 10Ga than 8Ga, but I needed 10Ga and figured buying a cheap 8Ga kit would help me get close. The RCAs seemed almost ok but I don't need…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Amp kit (NOT A 8 Guage) as described but yes, amp kit

This is the absolute worst amp kit I have ever seen. Cables are cheap (worse than cheapos@WxlMxxt) far away! I will update this review with photos later but I really wanted to warn people how bad it is. Everything in this set is not only of low quality, but of the worst possible quality. I've ever seen, I've hooked up stereos for 20 years and had some really cheap friends so I saw some of my amp kits. Anyway, my point is stay away, I wouldn't advise anyone to use them in their personal car…

You're better off with the $3 Boss brand kit.

As other reviewers have said, this is not an 8 gauge, it just has a very thick outer shell to fool you. Also, this cable isn't enough to connect 4 speakers, not even close. You'd be better off buying the Boss branded $3 kit, which includes 30 feet of speaker wire instead of a measly 17 feet. I deeply regret this purchase as it was a "false economy" as I had to go to my local Walmart for another $7 for the speaker cable and also another $8 for the RCA cables (since I have 4 speakers) so in the…

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Doesn't even come close to 8 gauge

Power cord is much smaller than 8 gauge, caliber mu. See the picture I've attached, red is the sound box cable, blue is a reputable brand. You can see the 8 gauge mark on the blue wire. This sound box kit might be suitable for a setup that draws less than 100W RMS but I'm not sure you'll be lucky enough to find an amp that small. hard pass.

Pros
  • Terminals/tie downs
Cons
  • Expensive

Great product but fuse problem

Everything was boxed and great but one thing - securing what was inside the package was on the ok at first sight but after installing i had no power, i opened the fuse and the glass part was broken and the plastic cracked, the plastic chamber was a bit bigger than the fuse box holder so the ends didn't connect, i applied some putty to join each end together while holding the fuse, except it was a great peace after I fixed the fuse box.

Pros
  • 17 ft - 8 gauge (copper plated aluminum) power wire / 3 ft - 8 gauge (copper plated aluminum) ground wire
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

It's good.

Wires are great! I love cables that fit the required stretch they have to adapt to. These cables are flexible and appear expensive. I might change my mind after being out a long time, but it was a breeze to get in and out of and whatnot. The fuse box is ok. The same applies to connectors. Also, there isn't enough choice when it comes to ports. I only had 20, 14 or 8 calibers in my set and only 2 of each caliber. But I'm smart, so I bought a $14 crimp end connector kit here at Revain. No, to be…
