Easy Installation - Car Accessories

Purchased this kit to add an extra fuse box to the accessory. The wires have good thick insulation. I wish I had gotten a screw on the crimps because it was a PIA to crimp the ends. Using the factory hole in the firewall, I carefully routed the wire from the battery to the fuse box.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons

Eh, all right with the car audio and video installation

Neat power cables for installing an amplifier. I wouldn't use this cable for installation in a high end show car but it works fine. If you hide all the wire, you'll be fine. The fuse holder is pretty cheap, the plastic is brittle so I didn't use it. So don't expect much. But it works in a pinch or within budget.

  • Good thing

  • Zero

Do not use fuse holder

Firstly I have no regrets purchasing this cable and still think it is great value for money but the issue with the fuse holder. I used this wiring to run a DC charger and it draws about 50-60 amps which was too much for a fuse holder. It melted after about 5 minutes of use but luckily the fuse blew before any damage was done. I think the fuse adapters have too much tolerance resulting in a loose fit. Under high loads, this loose fit created excessive resistance, leading to heat build-up. I…

Pros
  • Whilst satisfied
Cons
  • Requires socket

Only the cable is ok, the fuse is junk.

The cable is cheap, the fuse is rubbish. Buy cheap Chinese junk. Well you know exactly what you have. Wire insulation is ok, not the toughest. The inner lining is very thin. This makes it flexible, but you'll snip a few wires with a razor blade when stripping. I tried soldering the ends of the fuse to the wire because I'm a perfectionist. The tail end began to melt along with the solder. The end deformed so much that I couldn't dip most of the wire into the melted solder. The finish on the ends

Pros
  • High quality assembly
Cons
  • Protection
