    The best bubble!

Cool piece! First, they work well. Does not leak and is very durable. I carried a 25lb load next to it and it has never leaked or broken in about a year. Next, and probably best, it doesn't taste like rubber at all to begin with. I also left the water there for about a month and it was delicious (disgusting I know). It's also easy to clean. Overall this is the best bubble in my opinion and you should just buy it because you won't regret it at all.

The valve broke after three uses

I bought this for the Kilimanjaro hike I did last week. The tank itself was fine, closed well and had the wide shape I needed for my backpack. However, the valve is not easy to operate. You have to turn the valve and then pull it. Thankfully it worked for me all the way to the top, but on the way down the valve in my mouth broke in half and I had no access to water for the next two days of the hike. I only used my bladder to store water to refill my Nalgene. I bought it because it was "military

    Wider means thinner

Source Hydration did where others failed. We're expanding the bubble. Why? Because a wider hydration bladder becomes thinner when filled, giving you more space in your backpack. Think of a heating pad, wide and thin. This is Source Hydration Bladder. The wide opening allows you to put your whole hand in to clean it (which I didn't as I'm waiting for other gear) but it's definitely possible. I'm sorry but can't comment on taste and longevity yet (for the same reasons). Check other reviews. But…

    Better Bladder - Outdoor

This is my second Source Bladder, I will never buy another brand again, it is by far the best. My original bladder endured 7 years of intensive use and rough handling in my heavy backpack before it finally suffered a small tear in the seam. Here's what I like: 1. The top plastic tab slides off, allowing you to open your bladder from the top like a pouch. This makes it easy to clean cracks and crevices with a brush and easy refilling. Much better than the awkward round hole in the front common…

    Excellent bubble. to Outdoor Recreation

I have been using these cylinders for a couple of years now and have had no problems not caused by abuse. The material is thick enough and the wide opening at the top makes cleaning so easy that you have no excuse not to clean it. One day I slipped on the trail and landed on my Rush pack that had one of these bladders in it, only to notice some leakage around the joint at the bottom of the bladder was sweating. I'm not a short guy (over 6ft and about 250lbs) so I was surprised it didn't…

Maybe I got it from a bad batch. but this one tastes awful

I bought this Source 3 liter water bottle because it has good reviews and claims to be durable and tasteless. So far I haven't been able to get rid of the water taste from the hose (and I've run about 50 gallons of water through it and also cleaned it with baking soda, lemon water and bleach). I've tried it, the taste seems to go away for a few minutes, then after a few hours of hiking or activity the taste returns and becomes completely unbearable. like drinking out of a cheap vinyl hose…

Better than other hydration systems I've used.

This hydration system is reliable and gets the job done. Unlike competitor drinking tubes, the Source Tactical Safety drinking tube is not too long or loose. In addition, the hose is insulated with a "Cool Weave" coating over the entire length, while competition hoses are uninsulated and made of neoprene. My experience with a neoprene hose cover is that it doesn't keep the water in the hose cool on hot days. Source Tactical's low-profile widepac tank has no water cap that screws on and the…

Perfect for 5.11 RUSH packs (or similar)

This is Source's WLPS (Wide Low Profile System) hydration reservoir. After a long search I found the perfect reservoir for my 5.11 RUSH backpacks. This reservoir fits all RUSH packs, including the RUSH 12. A Velcro loop on the top of the RUSH bags goes through the clip slot to close the reservoir and attach it to the pack. The QD (Quick Disconnect) design makes it easy to detach and route the hose through the backpack and then connect it to the tank without spilling water. Another benefit of…

The best in the crowd of greats!

There are many variations of backpack water tanks and I have used many of them. Source Hydration is my favorite. The tank is easy to fill and clean. I can easily fill it with ice for long summer activities. They use some kind of magic plastic or process that keeps the water fresh for a long time. I even accidentally left one half full when storing it. When I pulled it out I thought the germs were having a party and stink to the tank. Not so. The water was as fresh as the first day! I really…
