🏀 Spalding 29.5-inch Street Phantom Outdoor Basketball Review

The ad never said it was out of factory packaging. so now I can't give it away anymore. came from AMAZON llc so should be new in the box. it wasn't, I have to assume it's a return. resold as new or counterfeit. very disappointed with this. But the ball seems ok for the price. but now I have to drive 47 miles to buy one in a gift box. SAD

I love this ball. The size is as declared. The grip is excellent. Anyone who complains about the way it's packaged or the slight abrasion probably doesn't mean it's used at all. Do you want it enclosed in glass? Guys, this isn't a brand. I understand what it means to perform for a gift, but I'm sure someone who enjoys gaming wouldn't mind.

I love this ball. With a deep and wide plunge, this ball just shoots out of your hand when you hit it. It grips like a hoop and looks like a hoop too. The only thing about it is that when you go to the park people often prefer to play with more conventional balls, but you're wrong, this ball is superior to any outdoor ball I've felt. Can't comment on durability yet as I just received it.

The ball came in a shopping box as shown in the picture. Scratches in various places and clearly not new. I bought this for a child I adopted for Christmas but I won't be giving it to him because he deserves a new ball, not one that looks like he's seen a few games at the park already. Very disappointed with this purchase.

Really good basketball. I just bought this basketball for my son's birthday along with a new basketball hoop. The basketball ballooned. It starts really well. I have no problems with this ball. The color was the same as the picture. My son who is 10 years old holds it very well when shooting baskets. He loves this basketball. I know if and when I need a new one to come back here.

So, I play ball at the local park quite often and needed a new ball. I saw that some people have this ball so I decided to give it a try. This is good on a rubber ball, but terrible against a composite ball, leather ball, or just about any other ball. Strangely sticks to hand, jumps like crazy (not good) and doesn't even look as good as the pictures. I would recommend a real ball. Also for beginners. But for a rubber ball, I'd say it's better than most.

Due to my disappointment with Spalding I want to give this 1 star but I love the product so I won't discourage others from buying it. This is essentially the same as the Street Pro series, which was discontinued for some reason. As far as street balls go, this is the best bang for the buck. The clutch is sticky but soft, and the wide grooves help when it's wet or muddy. But Spaulding. Please release this balloon in a color other than black (or should I say pink).
