Working, but check for leaks first.

Good value. Yes, it's worth it. Be prepared to do a little maintenance beforehand. The high pressure gauge leaked and I lost about 1500 pounds of nitrogen overnight. After pulling both gauges out, cleaning the threads of the bad sealant, and doing a proper seal and leak check, all was fine.

Pros
  • Great fit for me
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Catastrophic failure

The valve failed catastrophically when connecting an 850psi 20oz CO2 tank to a 3000+ psi inlet valve. The part was as described and the body did not fully detach from the body and did not fracture my skull. I previously incorrectly commented that the refund was incomplete, there was a full refund and I mistook it for another purchase. my fault. The vendor is also very responsive and interested in resolving the issue, which is why my rating has increased from 1 star to 3.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

OUTLET FITTING NOT 7/16-20. WILL NOT FIT STANDARD AIR CONDITIONING FITTINGS

Item well packaged and looks good but the outlet fitting is NOT a 7/16-20 (in other words it is NOT a standard "1/4" SAE fitting found on HVAC -manifold gauges/etc.) It looks like it's 7/16-18 and it won't fit a regular HVAC reducer. Another reviewer noticed the same thing. It looks like some of the batches of these things they ship are actually fitted with the correct outlet fitting. Buyer Warning. I will update this review on what the manufacturer/seller is doing with the 2 year warranty…

Wrong thread

Although the product works generally well now, I had to fix it. The 1/4" flare fitting is spec'd to have a 7/16-20 thread, but ships with a 7/16-18 thread. Standard HVAC accessory fittings will not fit. Turn a few turns until the thread pitch mismatch it stops won't sit I was supposed to be sending it back but was just trying to replace the fitting because I needed it and in the process damaged one of the sensors (the fitting is very tight in the regulator body) $0.99 for the fitting, $12 for a

Reliable product, buy this adapter to connect to AC gauge kits

Lots of guidance and research I found exactly the adapter that would solve the problem. The regulator output is 1/4" MFL (flare fitting) and the yellow hose (on my AC splitter kit) is 1/2" ACME. Therefore, to connect to a nitrogen tank, you will need this adapter to convert the regulator output from 1/4" FL to 1/2" ACME. Went like clockwork. Hope that helps.
