They ended up working fine but: They barely matched speaker wire #10. One of the plugs supplied had a small manufacturing defect on the end which made it difficult to insert. My biggest concern is that the metal sleeve that goes over the end of the wire is conductive. They don't want the nests to touch. Insulating shells would be more suitable. But in general you shouldn't have any problems if you use #12 cords or less, and they're great for tight spaces.

This connector is very well made and easy to fit. Although the wire hole is large enough to accommodate a 12GA speaker wire, there is not enough room to tighten the set screws to allow the cover to be screwed on. It only takes a couple of strands of cable to get the job done, but unless you plan to modify your cable this may not be the best choice. But for 14 or 16 GA wire they work very well and I would definitely recommend them.

These are very handy angled bananas. They accept heavy gauge wire as well as a banana plug instead of wire. The fit for the latter is fairly tight with some plugs; On others, the prongs may need to be spread a little to get a tight fit. I ordered these banana plugs to have flat terminals behind my surround speakers. They look great and are quality forks. Because the silver grommet slides up the cable side, rather than down over the end of the connector, it can be a little tricky to ensure the set screws are tight enough for the grommet to slide over. In general, I'm happy with it. I installed a very powerful power amplifier in the wallbox. Little space was left for connecting conventional straight banana plugs. There are two small things that would make me give it 4 stars instead of 5. I used #10 ga. speaker cable. There is just about enough room to insert the wire, but the set screws need to be unscrewed all the way out, so it takes some force to hook the set screw into the first thread. I've had two bad ones that didn't even catch the set
