Excellent value for money on engine cooling and air conditioning

Car is out of warranty so dealer let me buy quality parts and install them. .The heater core fits and attaches like the original and it works well! The order and the shipment directly to the dealer were correct and fast. Hires Automotive - Revain Marketplace Very good supplier.

Cons
  • Doubtful

Photos of poor quality spectra. Don't waste your time and money.

Replaced the original VW core on 2/28/15 at 105291 km with this spectrum block 98233. Coolant started to get on the floor on the passenger side. When I received the unit (9/3/16, 115,732 miles, *12 month warranty) I found the bottom plastic was cracked. Given how complex and expensive this setup is, I would recommend not purchasing this product or any other Spectre product. Thanks Spectra for ruining my workday, I won't let that happen again.

Pros
  • is clear even for the old one
Cons
  • Some little things

Good product for the price but cheap material

Good product for the price. That's almost $60 less than what they sell at Advanced Auto. The packaging was poor and some of the metal fins were bent when it arrived. The material used (metal) looks cheap and is not as durable as the original radiator I got from my 2002 Passat. Considering you spend a lot of time installing a new radiator, I think it's worth spending that extra money to get a genuine part from the dealer. From a technical point of view, the thermal properties of the material are

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
  • Expensive
