Perfect Fit: Engine Cooling & Air Conditioning

Perfect Replacement. Identical to the removed OEM heatsink. Let's hope this one lasts just as long! Directions were a bit on the main page. When installing, be sure to insert the black O-rings into the screw connections of the transmission cooler!

Pros
  • Quality Construction
Cons

Wrong size hose nipple

The small overflow hose nipple to the expansion tank is 5/16" on the Spectra Premium CU1737 radiator, it should be 3/8" like the original Ford. Had to remove the clamp and tighten to seal, if you don't notice this and are using a factory spring clamp you will have a leak if the hose breaks.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Modern

Good radiator, suitable for engine cooling and air conditioning

but one of the gearbox fittings was damaged at the end where the transmission line enters. It was impossible to insert the fishing line into the fitting. I had to order a Dorman connector which worked but wasn't the same quality as the ones that came with the heatsink. I could probably change the bad, but I didn't even try. Cooler is ok. After installation there were no leaks. Hope it lasts as long as the original.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Operating speed
