What I received is NOT a differential cover for DANA 44. I think I should have looked more closely at the photo. I've attached a photo of the cover to the case to show the difference.

Looks good but the material is not as thick as the butt plate 44 I need to cover the butt plate but for now it looks good on the front of my Willy

The cap fits perfectly on my 19770 k10 with GM D44 front axle but the drain plug does not tighten in the hole it is supposed to go all the way in. Not only is the cap a waste of money, it cost me 2 quarts of oil and more time scraping another gasket to replace the thing.

Very thin metal was used to make this differential cover. Chrome plating is definitely not "demonstration quality". I will use it because it's not worth sending back but my advice to others is to spend a little more and get something of better quality.

As other reviews have mentioned the chrome head screws that came with the kit do NOT work on my Dana 44 case, had to use old screws that broke away from it. The new bolts that come with them are about 1/8" longer, but other than that - you get what you pay for and they match my bolt pattern and I'm glad they come with a gasket.

That was a great offer. This is a genuine Specter part and comes in a fully sealed box. It fitted my Dana 44 perfectly and included a gasket as seen in the photo. Two important things to know: #1 There is no "lock ring" on the filler plug, so trying to tighten it all the way will result in the filler plug falling into the differential chamber, leaving no choice but to remove the cap and drain the oil, remove the screw and start over.
