Easy installation even for non-drivers

Easy installation even for non-drivers. It seems to give my 2011 Silverado a little more power and can definitely make a difference in throttle response. Good product.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Little things

Good for MPG for parts

I have a 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500 and it took me an hour to install (mainly because I had trouble finding tools). But under the hood it looks great. There is hardly any difference in sound and I do not feel any additional performance. However, I noticed a change in my MPG and that's why I got the supplement in the first place. I would recommend the part.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Pretty much everything is fine

You get what you pay for

2013 Silverado 5.3Pros- The sound is great, a very noticeable difference in sound compared to the original when you step on it. Looks decent. Cons: Hardware components are flimsy, one of the screws on the yoke shears off halfway when tightening. The instructions could have been better. The images in the online guide are so dark that you can't see what's going on. General Thoughts - You get what you pay for, it's worth the price. If I were feeling more lavish I would consider buying K&N.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Some little things

Tried another CAI

I have used several K&N kits in the past but decided to try this one as it is MUCH cheaper. I think you get what you pay for, the fit isn't great. I especially didn't like the boot to which the filter is attached, it hangs when it's installed, I'll fix it. In terms of performance, it's ok so far at 150 km, I've only noticed a slight increase in fuel consumption, but I didn't expect much either, nobody keeps what they promise. Pretty standard. Although it looks good.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Damaged

Don't waste your money on K&N. This is the best

Worth the money. Don't waste your money on K&N when Specter makes a fence for your car. It's no different at first, but give it a few days (I'm not sure why), but then you'll feel a little pressure on the accelerator. I also mounted 20 x 12 -44 wheels with 33 x 12.5 tires, that's a bit more weight which surprisingly made my run terrible. But after installing the intake, the mileage returned to stock. I'm guessing maybe 2-3 mpg after the first week. Good product. 2010 avalanche

  • So far so good

Good value for money. for the air intake

Only installed today. First, throw away the printed guide and go to YouTube, it's much better. The quality is ok, not outstanding. Better quality from K&N but I got the Specter for about $200 less and frankly how heavy does it have to be? First, OEM CAI was nothing special! The installation took about an hour and everything went as it should. this is how it should have been. The intake pipe was dented a little at the flange, but not too bad. Generally pretty easy. After that, I took my 2011…

Could fit better

Double checked to make sure it fits 09 Yukon Denali and even the manufacturers website says it fits, got it and installed and after finishing and closing the hood it didn't closed. closed so had to slam which is very unusual for me then I noticed there was a heck of a big gap on the side of the airbox which I noticed but didn't think about when my wife said something so I'll give her one Rating I gave, I even asked for help a few days ago from the help tab which sent me to the manufacturer's…

Unleash the power and get rid of the plastic OEM intake!

This is the second Specter cold air intake I've bought. The first was on a 2005 GMC Yukon, and this one was on a 2013 Chevy Suburban. I just bought a Suburban and it seemed to have significantly less power than my '05. I noticed that the 2013 has a bunch of plastic crap on the air intake. I followed the instructions which are fine and installed it in less than an hour. My biggest complaint is the 45 degree piece of rubber that you attach to the air intake. The clamp is larger than the amount of
