Unleash the power and get rid of the plastic OEM intake!

This is the second Specter cold air intake I've bought. The first was on a 2005 GMC Yukon, and this one was on a 2013 Chevy Suburban. I just bought a Suburban and it seemed to have significantly less power than my '05. I noticed that the 2013 has a bunch of plastic crap on the air intake. I followed the instructions which are fine and installed it in less than an hour. My biggest complaint is the 45 degree piece of rubber that you attach to the air intake. The clamp is larger than the amount of rubber you're covering it with, so you need to make sure the gasket is tight. After stalling, I decided to get it on the road. Wow! It's like someone just overclocked to 30+ horsepower. Before installation, it was not possible to spin the tires on the toll road. Now they slide a little and you can feel the power. Next on the list is the dual exhaust, which will also help a bit. The quality of the product is good. I've had another for 4 years and cleaned the filter once. Don't buy this for gas mileage because it most likely won't make it any better, but it will give you the power you need.
