Spectre Performance 9709 4-Inch Straight Aluminum Intake Tube: Enhanced Airflow for Optimum Performance Review

It was perfect for fitting my new 6637 filter to my F250 7.3. A whistle of this size was very difficult to find locally so finding one at Revain was great. It came the right size for what I needed. It's about 4 inches long so I didn't have to cut it or anything. Just install. The finish is also very nice. It has a nice polished sheen and looks great under my hood.

I didn't know I was going to cut this down when I bought it as it turned out needed a shorter piece so decided I am cutting the length from 4 inches to 3 inches. The metal is very soft and bends by hand and acted like pudding when I held it in the saw. This is a cheap metal-plastic hybrid. If it weren't necessary to change the length of the pipe, everything would work fine. It just looks cheaply made.

I used this part to complete a do it yourself air intake on my f250 with a 6637 air filter. I couldn't find any 4" OD material at local hardware stores. I feel a lot more confident in the durability of this polished aluminum tube compared to something like PVC or ABS and it looks a lot better. I would also like to point out that the item came in a quality box which included a snorkel sleeve which I don't need but adds a nice touch when opening the box.
