Not only do they fold, they also connect together. For a full set of Spectrum Noir (216 pens) you will need three of these 4 packs and one 6 pack. Very strong and durable (I tapped mine with a hammer when connecting and left no marks).

I have ordered this item before and it came in a box as shown. There was no box this time and the trays were bubble wrapped in an envelope. Luckily none of the trays were cracked or broken, but it could have been. Not entirely sure if it's the same manufacturer, no packaging for the product. It seems to match the others I have but not as closely.

I am happy with these trays as they stack beautifully on top of each other and easy access to all markets. They arrived in good condition with no damage in transit which means they were properly packaged. I removed a star because it shows them side by side but they don't intersect for me. There are grooves for connecting but I've tried and now the two trays are sticking together because they aren't fully connected and won't separate rendering them useless.
