Old Faithful. Not the best, but still the standard for millions.

Classic mascara. Waterproof is not 100%, more like 98%. Tiny streaks may appear when the ink is washed off. But it's still okay. Color is matte, not glossy. I prefer this to the glossier shellac that some inks have. My only complaint is that the bottle sucks. It has a weird seal that the cap doesn't have. So if you rip it off the cap is the only thing holding the ink and it doesn't have an internal seal so you end up with ink around the edges and smudges. I ended up putting it in an empty…

Good matte black ink, least waterproof, likely waterproof

I used this speedball ink with my tips as a dip ink. Color rich matte black. Still getting used to using a fountain pen I'm on a learning curve and have seen a few drips and made a few messes and gotten a good amount on my hands too. This goes away with a little cleaning. I bought this ink specifically because it's waterproof after reading the reviews some say it's waterproof some say it's 98% waterproof. I hope this is enough for addressing envelopes. Be careful when holding the bottle upright

I appreciate that as I can get very thin lines even with not very good pens and on imperfect paper. It's also much quicker and easier to thin the ink than to thicken it. In my experience they don't granulate or lay unevenly when used in diluted washes. This particular bottle shape is pretty perfect…

I kind of like it though.

It's waterproof and possibly waterproof if you wait long enough and let the water or ink paint layers dry between layers. If you try to draw with water-based paint 20 minutes after applying it, there is a 50% chance that it will smear if you used too much water or too much ink when working with the lines. My only problem was using this with my glass. Handle. It's too thick to properly separate from the glass tip (at least on my pen, all glass pens are different). So I had to dilute the ink with
