Review on πŸ–€ High-performance Speedball Super Black India Ink - 2-Ounce by Hannah Curi

Favorite for use with steel springs

These aren't the only inks I use, but Speedball Super Black is my favorite ink for use with steel tips. I have tried several lacquer inks and of these, Speedball is the thickest and driest of all. I appreciate that as I can get very thin lines even with not very good pens and on imperfect paper. It's also much quicker and easier to thin the ink than to thicken it. In my experience they don't granulate or lay unevenly when used in diluted washes. This particular bottle shape is pretty perfect too. The base is wide enough to prevent tipping, the opening is wide enough to easily slide the pen in and out, overall it's shallow enough that you probably won't dip it in too deeply (when refilling I'd recommend , not to fill it). more than half or three quarters). The last great thing about speedball ink is its ubiquity and the fact that you can buy large bottles cheaply.
