Great for home decor items

I use this to screen print vinyl stencil cookies. You must use the right consistency of royal icing. Works perfectly. I love that the screen material is replaceable, but for now all I had to do was rinse it off and let it air dry. If I reuse it and need to rinse in between, I use a hair dryer and it dries in seconds.

Perfect for the first timer!

This was my first screen printing experience and this screen printing worked exactly as I expected! I used Speedball ink and Oracle 651 vinyl for my 'stencil', not sublimation. My project turned out exactly as I had planned. I watched a few YouTube videos to make sure I was using the device properly and it helped.

Works well on wall and table frames

My husband enjoys using it; He's used it over and over again (replacing mesh) to create different types of patches for lesser-known bands so he can adorn that ugly vest he's dying to wear in public when he's doing artistic stuff. But I love him, so I'll shut up. In any case. it works well and he loves it.

Poorly Assembled - Home Accessories

Screen mesh is not securely attached to frame. The wooden frame is milled and the grille is held in this groove with a rubber cord, like a sliding fly screen door. Therefore, the mesh is not stretched and can loosen over time. It is better to choose frames where the mesh is heavily stapled or welded to the metal frame at the factory. Because the frame is made of wood, it absorbs water when you wash it and absorbs paint when you paint.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Poor set

Ideal for beginners and experienced screen printers

For a few months I've been wanting to learn how to handle screen printing. I finally mustered up the courage to order this screen along with the Speedball Screen Ink. I'm so glad I finally bit the bullet and tried it. This screen was very easy to use and cleaning was easy. I've only used it once but the construction feels very solid and should hold up to repeated use. I would highly recommend this screen for anyone wanting to try screen printing.

  • Also understandable for old hands

Not reusable with vinyl

I bought this to use with Oracle 651 Permanent Vinyl as a stencil and first use is perfect but when you wash off the ink after use the vinyl immediately slides in huge chunks away. I have different brands of screens and the vinyl remains perfectly sealed after 10+ uses and washes. The speedball screen makes the vinyl fall off every time you rinse it. It's okay if you change vinyl frequently, but if you use it multiple times with the same vinyl, it's a waste of time. You will have to cut and…

Great for small projects or beginners.

If you know anything about screen printing, then you know that using these wooden stencils is problematic. The privacy screen consists of a wooden frame, silk-like mesh, and a foam cord (like a window frame) that holds the fabric in place. This frame can hold small parts well when fired properly. The biggest problem I encountered was cleaning the screen with an emulsion remover. The cord holding the fabric in the wood can loosen, which in turn loosens the tension on the fabric. You can solve…
