Sperry Mens Boat Shoe Brown Review

I was expecting brown with white soles but got brown/beech. Now I see it was a written description but it's normal for the pictures to match the product so I feel like I've been scammed. I will keep the shoes but was disappointed that I didn't get the classic style shown in the picture.

This is the second pair I've had an issue with. The rubber outsole was torn at the front end. I hit the toe of my boot on the step and the elastic snapped at the seam. I have had many pairs of Sperry pumps and never had this problem. I love wearing them but the last two pairs broke in the same place within a week of wearing them.

I'm losing a star because they don't fit like they used to five years ago. The wide ones are no longer wide, and they seem a bit shorter for a 9 1/2. Edit: I actually ordered three times. Finally, width 10 does the trick. I never order a size 10 so this is just wrong. Hope the quality is still there.

I bought them for my son who loves them. They took about a day to "break in" and he says they are very comfortable. The fit is the same as expected, sizing. He wears them to school all day, no complaints. He's only had them a few months so I can't say how well they will hold up, but based on other reviews I'm optimistic. If the shoe holds up well and doesn't outgrow it, I would expect it to last a bit due to the cost.

I am a really old man. I got my first pair of classic Top Sides in my early 20s. This is my third pair. These pumps last and last and last. They are comfortable, useful and indestructible. I wore them as casual business shoes to mow the lawn, run errands, come rain or shine. In my opinion this is the best shoe purchase you can make.
