Dusty Rose SPLAT Hair Chalk Review

I've been thinking about adding some pink to my hair but wanted to try it first. I have dark brown hair (almost the same color as the model on the box) and that pink didn't look good. When I asked a friend with very dark brown hair to try it on, he looked really cute. I still love splat products and have used most other hair chalk colors and they turned out great, this color just didn't show in my hair.

I have medium brown hair with light highlights. I love this chalk and use it for some pink streaks. It shows off well and depending on how much you use you can make it light pink or very hot pink. I get compliments on my pink highlights all the time. Once by a hairdresser who said it was professional coloring. I don't find it very dirty. Yes, it's chalk, so I place it over the sink and keep my hair away from my face, and some powder runs down the sink (like any makeup powder does), but I don't…

Baby LOVES, LOVES, LOVES it. . .it is everywhere. . but not because it is easy to remove. . . because she puts it on everything. I tried it on my hair before giving it to her and it's vibrant and stays on pretty well (if you don't touch it often). It shows up well on dark hair, but obviously it will appear lighter on bleached or already blonde hair. But on her dark locks it was perfectly visible.

I opened the package first, a little disappointed with how small the chalk was. They just had a cheap foam wheel to put chalk on their hair! But after using it, I'm amazed at how far it's come. I first bought it to dress up my hair before Halloween. I only applied it to the lightest parts of the hair. Very easy to use and looks great. Can be rinsed out immediately without coloring hair. I have very light hair and have had no problems. I'm not sure how well it works with dark hair.

Doesn't look like the color in the picture at all. I wouldn't call it a dusty rose but a hot pink. It applies well and is well pigmented. I have light pink hair and the roots had blemishes that are now just platinum blonde where the color has faded so I used this. After seeing how dark it was I just painted over all of my roots to give them an ombre look. I was amazed at how long it took. I wash my hair every 3 days and on the 3rd day it still looked pretty decent just wish it was more of that…

Will not be purchased again. Even after "fixing" with hairspray, nothing remains on the hair. As soon as you comb or comb your hair, it practically combs. I liked the idea of a temporary hairstyle on my blonde/grey hair, but was disappointed with how quickly it literally fell off the strands of hair.

I liked how it looked on my hair. I was happy that it was a crayon that was easy to apply and experiment to achieve a specific level of color. Dirty but easy to clean! I wanted my pastel pink so I used less and it worked perfectly. I will buy again. The downside of this I would say would be the way it is applied, there must be an easier way!

I wish I had bought more colors but I love this product and think it's fun! It's not very easy to use, but it's more of a practice than a product. you just have to hold it a certain way and I've only used it a few times. If I buy more, it will most likely be multicolored packaging. I really like this shade of pink though. It's bright and cheerful, but not neon.
