Plugged avh-1400 into Pioneer and it didn't recognize iPhone or iPod. It was an iPhone 6 Plus and an old iPod. Not only that, only one is charged, not both. So I plugged it into a different USB outlet and it still only charged on one side. I don't know if I got a fake but it's so cheap I didn't even bother to return it.

This is a great splitter for converting one USB into two. What I like about it is that it can power my hard drives without losing connection. The cable is solid and I'd say it's very nice to have for devices like your Surface Pro, but be aware it's only 2.0 and not 3.0 so it'll slow you down for a 3.0 device.
