Description of Spode Woodland Bunny Salt and Pepper Shakers

REVERED HISTORY: In 1770, the outstanding skills and creativity of Josiah Spode were realized when he opened his factory in Stoke-on-Trent, England. During his life, Josiah Spode perfected many techniques, two of which were blue underglaze printing and the formula for Fine Bone China. COVETED CERAMICS: Josiah perfected the process for blue undergalze printing on earthenware from hand engraved copper plates in 1784. Ever since the introduction of this process, Spode's original blue and white designs have become some of the most sought after in the history of ceramics. LEADING STANDARDS: The formula for Fine Bone China is also accredited to Josiah Spode; in 1799 it was this formula which gave bone china its brilliant whiteness and delicate translucency, which inspired new standards within the ceramic industry. CONSISTENT QUALITY: Today, using techniques and designs from a wealth of authentic engravings and moulds carefully preserved within the archives, many of the same designs and items are again being produced to the delight of conoisseurs and collectors. It is also these wonderful techniques which allow Spode to continually introduce new collections year after year creating items for collectors of the future. SPECIFICATIONS: Country living comes to life with Spode's Woodland collection. These charming salt and pepper shakers feature a pastoral rabbit illustration with the traditional British Flowers border, which dates back to 1828. Each shaker measures 6.5 inches in height and is made of fine porcelain. Suitable for dishwashers.

It doesn't have a rabbit.

I ordered this because I collect Spode rabbit harness. There's no rabbit on the one you sent me. There are quail and ducks. No rabbits. And yet the rabbit is the first word in the title. rabbit lady

Not made in England

I received these salt and pepper shakers. They are very nicely made. But they are made in China. I'm talking about the possibility of sending them back. Judging by previous reviews, they were made in England. You are not.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Can't remember

Better than the picture

I gave it to my mother-in-law for the New Year. she loved it. She collects Spode Woodlands. We both like that he knows how to bake a casserole in the oven and then bring a nice dish to the table. Decorated baking pans are hard to find.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

Beautiful Sweets Tray Suitable For The Kitchen And Dining Room

Very nice tray. However, the size is much smaller than expected. It says it can hold about 6 sandwiches. You can, but you have to put a layer of 3 and then put the next 3 on top. Instead we use it as a pretty tray for biscuits or chocolates. It's just the right size to place small candies on top when serving wine to your friends.

Pros
  • HONORABLE HISTORY: In 1770 Josiah Spode's outstanding skill and creativity were realized when he opened his factory in Stoke-on-Trent, England. Throughout his life, Josiah Spode perfected many techniques, two of which were underglaze blue printing and fine bone china formula.
