SportRack Hitch Rack Locking Knob Review

. I had to disassemble my old and new units. The one I received didn't match the thread pitch for my bike rack, but it was easy enough to take apart and swap between the two pieces.

Because it doesn't list the threads and from the Thule website because of the part number which directed me to this product. say size and too big for what i have.

. The lock works great, having replaced the screw it came with with a trip to Lowes. The original screw did not fit the Travato ladder.

I bought 4 of these to use on various hardware I have on my truck. I use these locking knobs to quickly attach and remove custom bike racks, scuba tank mounts, and kayak mounts depending on what sport I have my truck set up for. Keylocks make it difficult for others to remove gear.

Not a complex article. It does what is advertised. It fits the Thule system, although it's not made by Thule but by SportRack, just to be clear. When the lock is on, the handle behaves like a normal fixed handle. When rotated in the other direction, the handle spins freely so it cannot catch the screw/bolt rod. Easy. Works as a handy lock, although a determined thief with a power tool can quickly deal with it. It's good for the price. Bolt thread 1/8" x 15
