We have been using Fuel backpacks successfully for several years. They will last a full year if not several years and are easy to wash. This special XL bag design makes it easy to carry footballs or basketballs and is ideal for the winter months as my child can stash his winter pants, gloves and hat in it and it still has a zip closure.

Got this for my 8 year old son. It sits well on it and has enough space for a binder, library books and a lunch box. We love the convenience of the top zip as the backpack stands upright while my son loads it. The problem we always have with backpacks is that the zippers fall off from the constant opening and closing and also because my boys are not always in a hurry. The zippers on this backpack seem stronger than most, but I'll let you know if we run into any problems.

Ordered this bag for my daughter for Christmas. She opened it on Christmas Day and started using it on January 3rd. On the eighth day, using the bag, it literally fell apart at the seams. 4 days after Amazon's 30 day return policy I was told to contact the manufacturer. I did so and was told I would need to register the product and then make a warranty claim. So far I've been there for 10 days and haven't heard back. Hope to solve this. My boys usually change their backpack every year. My eldest needed one that could fit in a lunch box. This seemed like a good idea as the main opening was wider and from reading other reviews it could accommodate larger items. My son usually carries his lunch bag to school and puts the bag in his backpack after lunch.
