Safe Summer Tent

I've just bought my Ford Escape so I was very excited about this purchase (a birthday present for myself)! The tent is a good size, the zips are good and the height was perfect for me - but the device that allows access to your car is not well thought out. The morning dew seeped into the car and the wind blew all night. Only recommended for dry camping in warm summer. Happy to use this summer

Ideal for Toyota Matrix, easy to customize.

Matches my Toyota Matrix very well. Outstanding product. First test run at Grindstone National Park in Damascus, Virginia. At night 19 degrees was uncomfortable but during the day it was ideal. Setup was easy, and splitting and reconnecting was easy. Lots of space for me and things I took with me on the trip. The tent fits with an open or closed hatchback. Can't wait to try it out in the rain and wind.

Great tent to interact with our Baja!

The tent is a perfect match for our Subaru Baja and we love that it has two door options to adapt to your campsite. We can set up or take down the tent in about 10-12 minutes, very easy. During our first trip (mid-October) I was amazed that the tent moderated the temperature and protected from the cold morning wind. The perfect tent for us. During the 3rd pitching of the tent, three eyelets on the foot fell off (I have a set of eyelets and new ones are being installed). The zippers make a good…

Tent + pitch for hatchback. What's not to love?

We like to throw stuff in the car and go (Honda Touring Hatchback) and this tent is perfect for that. Our two double air mattresses (don't judge us, we sleep very well) fill the tent so the extra space the hatchback offers is perfect. A refrigerator, extra blankets and basically everything we brought with us are easily accessible from our tent. Installation is very simple, two racks and you're done! Can easily be done by one person and the instructions are clear. I've had it for about 2 years…

Works well in all weather conditions

I've used this a few times and the last ride was in heavy rain with a passing thunderstorm. In heavy rain I had some water where the tent connects to the car, but that's hard to avoid and I wasn't expecting a 100% seal. Water that got in could then be wiped off with a napkin. In heavy rain, I could still sit in my chair in my tent and watch a movie on my iPad. Pretty cozy! A tent of this size fits well with a Toyota RAV4 or similar sized SUV. This is my second NAPIER all terrain tent and I have

  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Easy to put together with a friend as I'm 5ft 1in tall. It fits my Subaru Forester perfectly - no gaps for mosquitoes. Large screened windows for good airflow. Lots of space for my big dog, my camping buddy and gear. Lots of nice touches like permanently attaching the instruction manual to the carry case so you don't lose it. The only problem is the lack of a buckle on one corner of the awning, which is necessary for reliable protection from the rain. I have contacted the seller and am waiting…

beautifully designed, well made small hatchback tent

Great tent for a small hatchback! We put it on our camping Prius - the back of the car fits into a large sleeve on one side of the tent. However, you can detach the car from the cover, close the tent and leave it as you drive through the day. Two straps go to the front of the car and we hooked two more around the spokes of our wheel, but this whole thing is sturdy enough that we didn't feel the need to fasten it. We slept in the car and used the tent as a living and dining room, but people…

Good quality, not too big and not small, good performance.

Ideal for Honda Fit. It is useful to have two people, but it can be endured with one. I used a tarp to keep it clean and protect the bottom from sharp rocks. Buy some real tent pegs as the standard pegs on this tent are likely to buckle on hard ground. It would be nice to have 2 extra steel posts to mount the canopies on both the driver's side and the rear (opposite the tailgate opening) but I will be buying some spare posts for that. Revain, consider selling replacement poles sold by the tent…
