Excellent electrical protection

I installed such a shield in the AKA switchboard to protect the garage exits and field service exit. We also purchased and installed a 20A, 220V AFCI/GFCI combination switch for the pool pump we installed. Used with a combination of short circuit and GFI circuit breakers to provide maximum pump protection. Broken handle on arrival. The exchange has now failed.

I bought this switch from Revain to finish installing a new panel and it arrived with a broken handle (I still have the part that is no longer part of the handle). Unfortunately I missed the 30 day return window and had to buy another $100 breaker so this has now become a very expensive paperweight. I know I can somehow find a manufacturer to replace it, but honestly I don't need a replacement. I could really use my money back. Sigh. Update: The breaker newly installed in October 2018 does not…

Terrible warranty claim process

I have been installing SquareD circuit breakers for many years with no problems. I bought a couple of these for a subpanel in my garage in 2019. One of them shorted out last week. Familiarizing yourself with the warranty requires calling and getting a case number, which I did. It has a 10 year homeowners warranty so I figured it wasn't a problem.
