Top-Notch MTB Upgrade

The SRAM XX1 cassette is a game changer! Through trial and error, I found that this cassette provides quick and seamless gear changes while on the trail. The cassette is well-built and able to handle the toughest terrains with ease. The only downside could be the price, but its performance is worth the investment.

Pros
  • Quick gear changes, durable
Cons
  • High price point

Works on my Sram Force CX1 cross bike.

When I got a new wheelset for my Sram Force CX1 motocross bike I decided to go with the xd drivetrain instead of the hub and added it as a rear cassette instead of the Sram 11-36. It works great, even with the Sram Force Medium clutch shifter, adding extra gearing when I'm cruising uphill for hours, and it's 100 grams lighter than the 11-36 it replaced.

Pros
  • Sports & Outdoors
Cons
  • No Instructions

Fantastic when new

I sent it back because all I really needed was the largest cog available. When this part was new on my enduro, it shifted perfectly with no physical evidence. No sound, no vibration. Even under load, it shifted imperceptibly. I couldn't believe it. However, the large aluminum gear with 42 teeth wears out. I have more than 1600 km mileage, I had to change. I replaced it with a 44 tooth cog which works great for me as I'm 70 and don't tap into the power of most riders.

Pros
  • Cassettes and ratchets
Cons
  • Not the best
