Great USB-C hub > 2x USB-C and 2x USB 3.0

This is a great USB hub. I now have two USB-C ports. I need a USB hub that plugs into my single USB-C port on my laptop. I didn't want to give up the ability to connect USB-C devices. This hub has two USB-C ports and two USB-3 ports. Most hubs only offer USB 3 ports. Works great. Reliable. It's fast, but I haven't measured throughput.

actually connect and transfer data at 10Gbps (device dependent). My T5 SSD is getting 480MB/520MB/s (read/write) and connects directly to my 2018 Mac mini. When connected through this hub - with another hub plugged into the USB A port - I got the same numbers. The USB3 downstream hub works great. A convenient and affordable USB-C connector for card readers, hard drives, etc. An easy way to solve pesky Bluetooth issues on that Mac mini without sacrificing any ports. Limited USB hub under Computers and accessories

Does not support PD (Power Delivery) - This hub cannot provide power to the computer. Does not support video - does not pass USB-C video signals. This hub simply adds two USB-A ports and two limited-use USB-C ports, using one of your USB-C ports on your laptop, for example. So you don't get as much as other, albeit more expensive, hubs. I found it unsuitable for my current situation where my Macbook Air only has 2 USB-C ports - and I use both - one for power and one for video to an external…

A drive that never overheats - overheats because it's connected to it. It had a decent speed of 700Mbps when 1 drive was connected (which is about the drive's max) - 2 drives, although the story changes - the overall speed drops to 400Mbps! si one disk will be about 200 and the other about 150 Mbps. I don't trust my hard drive on it after it overheats - and it's UNUSEABLE as a hub - because it only offers high speed - with 1 device connected - in that case you can throw away the hub and go…

Best 10Gbps USB-C Hub Yet

I've had multiple USB-C hubs. It actually supports 10Gb/s (at least 2 of my SSDs are running very close to the limit at full speed). So far this is a very stable hub (compared to 2-3x more expensive competitors I've returned). This hub has 2 USB-C ports and 2 USB-A ports, which again is very convenient. I like it and will buy more from this company (another hub with power input).

Half right, half wrong

The product here at Revain mentions that it is a "USB 3.2 10Gb/s" device. In fact, half of them are correct. The USB-C ports are actually USB 3.2 Gen 1 (which means it's 10Gbps), while the other two ports are . USB 2.0! Also, you cannot power this device. Another problem - sometimes it works over the Thunderbolt ports and sometimes it doesn't, and you have to restart your computer for it to recognize this hub (tested on Fedora 34 and Windows 10 latest). So in short - if you want a TRUE USB 3.2…

Pros
  • High flexibility in a compact form: The SSK USB C SuperSpeed USB 10G Hub is thin, light, compact and powerful with multiple ports. You can place it anywhere you want to work, even if space is limited. Slip the hub in your bag for presentations, data collection, design projects, and more. It's the perfect device for everyday use, commuting and travel. Make your life more convenient.
