The only reason I get them is because it's the only pencil sharpener I can find that has those short, sharp tips like most colored pencils. come brand new out of the box. I like settings 1 and 2 on them. I don't use any other settings. My only problem is that it seems to lose its sharpness after a very short time. But I think I'll stick with them because, as I said, I prefer short and sharp tips on my drawing and coloring pencils and they give me that choice.

These are very small sharpeners. The best feature is the ability to change the length of the lead, which is useful for some colored pencils that tend to be soft and break easily. They are easy to use and have a small flap that prevents chips from falling out. I've had several of these sharpeners scattered around the house and some wouldn't close the hatch fully, but that doesn't stop me from loving them more than any sharpener I've tried. I'm really impressed with these sharpeners. When I did a quick google search before purchasing, I read somewhere that only the first two settings for color and should be used (can't find the info again). While the fact that this brand of sharpener is primarily plastic and has a long lifespan is unclear, I am happy with the purchase. This sharpener gives my Prismacolor Premiere and new Schpirerr color pencils a shorter, sharper point, which I prefer. I have ordered two more sets for future use…
