Thin, brittle and flaky

Not even worth $2.99. You don't get what you pay for, that's even worse. We have a very thin material that will not stand up to the stretch required to mount it on the Blu Yeti it was designed for. When it was turned inside out to wrap it around the mic the inner material tore, then when it was rolled down there were more tears on the outside. The material just falls apart. I've had this thing for 45 seconds now and it's full of holes. Can't support it.

Ideal! Bringing life to an old microphone

I had an old microphone lying around that suffered from incredible squeaking and audio noise when someone approached to speak into it, despite the reduced sensitivity it has at all nothing changed. That's where this windshield comes in. Once installed, it was amazing how much it had changed. The mic stopped screeching, the bass and harshness of the vocals were comfortably muted, and general usage was life changing as people could now approach the mic without fear of screeching. Would recommend…

Does not cause cancer (anymore)

I have tested this product on the Zoom H1. It's easy to put on the microphone and doesn't significantly affect the volume of the sound. Does a great job of canceling wind and helps make the H1 more like a handheld mic. It looks like they have updated the materials used to create this product. Older reviews state that this product was made with chemicals causing subscription cancellations, reproductive issues, etc. My package came with a green badge directing me to their website (see attached…

You get what you pay for

This turned out to be a waste of money for my blue Yeti. I read the reviews carefully and meticulously tried to lure it into my mic for 15 minutes and although I was very slow and careful it still ripped a bit near the bottom edge. This is clearly not made for this mic, although I have serious doubts that this is a quality product for any mic. The foam is quite thin and didn't improve the sound of my yeti. If you buy a blue yeti, do yourself a favor by not spending money on it like I did and…

Nothing for short-tempered people, but otherwise majestic.

I bought this for the Blue Yeti but it was very difficult to attach this mic. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it's something to be aware of if you have weak hands or get frustrated easily. I had to turn it inside out and spread it out over the mic and then move it up a bit around the rim. It fits, but it was damn hard. I almost gave it a four star rating, but ultimately I think a snug fit will keep it in place better. I've used mics with loose windscreens, which can be annoying and add…

Fake junk is a potential toxic health hazard!

I got it after more than a month of waiting - a story about a slow boat from China (yes, the same country responsible for melamine in baby milk powder and cadmium in baby toys). Mine arrived in a clear noisy unmarked plastic bag. All were deformed, irregular in shape and uneven in thickness. All 5 of them smelled like very strong harsh chemicals. I can't pinpoint it, but they smell strongly acidic (unusual since plastic-based materials usually have a petrochemical smell), and I don't really…

Fits Blue Yeti, read description.

At first it will, but you must understand that you have everything you need. First you need to stretch it. Take two fingers (on opposite hands), insert them inward and pull from opposite sides for at least 10 seconds. Twist slightly and repeat the process (don't tear!). Second, turn it completely inside out by holding the tip of your index finger against the Yeti and start curling the sides down like a condom. Third with rolled up sides. Hold your index finger down, lock it, then use your other

Great value windshield for SM58

Bought for use with Shure SM58. It's okay, but not great. The foam is a good black color (not too grey, blue or purple, but true black). A foam has good texture if the word describes the open cell nature in the sense that it is not too rough, as in holes too large to have a rough texture, but not smooth, as in closed cell ones Foam. It's a good balance between those two extremes. The fit of the SM58 is fair. It rotates easily on the grille windshield, often making it crooked or slightly angled…
