LONG time but then screwed on

I've been looking for small quantity, long (3 to 3½ inch) stainless steel screws to get through shower door jambs, shower stall, plaster and plaster. Cladding board for the wall shelf. The door is finally solid and strong, which hasn't been the case since it was installed by a contractor years ago and just bolted to a fiberglass shower enclosure. The benefit of ordering them through Revain is that I don't have to buy a full box of 100 for like $60.

Make sure to drill pilot holes before use

So I bought these to attach the metal plate to the door and restore the finish to close the storm door. The holes in the metal plate were big enough for screws. I drilled pilot holes about an inch into the pine frame and into the 2x4. The heads were easy to remove from the 3 inch screws. Make sure you drill a deeper pilot hole and add some soap or wax. Terrible product. Soft metal, stripped most of the screws with minimal torque.

I hate wasting my time and this purchase has done just that. Terrible product. Soft screw heads made of inferior metal will break off with minimal torque, even with new and sharp bits. It's time to go to Lowes or Home Depot. I realize that Revain does NOT test those horrible screws. Raven doesn't care about that at all. Anyone can sell on this platform.
