hydraulic damper is much better than spring alone

Summary: I've been using magnetic door latches for a while and love them except when the door closes too quickly the door bounces off the stopper. Observations: This block with hydraulic damper solves this problem. To be honest, I was a bit skeptical that this would work. Recommendations: 1) Install the big side first, then remove the spring from the small side and just install the cap to align the smaller side with the larger side. 2) For drywall, make sure you use good quality anchors (not…
