I would like to give a better rating but.

Love the style, the design, the craftsmanship EXCEPT for one important item which I have attached a picture for. The incense hole is crooked. For example, REALLY off, so when I try to burn incense on this otherwise great piece, NO ash falls where it should. On the burner. What a pity.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Damaged

Caution: The hole was drilled at the wrong angle.

Another review mentioned the hole was drilled at the wrong angle. Well I was hoping mine might be ok but no, same problem. The hole is drilled at the wrong angle so the incense stick is pointing to the side and when it burns the ash falls partially onto the table. Besides, it's a beautiful thing.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

He had a job! At least it looks cool.

Looks cool. I just want it to work. The hole in the skull was drilled off-center. Thus, the sole purpose of this censer - collecting ashes - is utterly useless as the incense hangs to the side so far that it doesn't catch anything. If he did his job he would get 5 stars because he really looks that great.

  • Well built

A bit short for some sticks

I've had this holder for 5 years now and I love it. It's very well made and the details are fantastic. The only downside is that it's a bit short for some sticks. You have to break and shave the material off of them to make them fit. However, it's okay. Especially since I've been using Japanese incense sticks, the length is no longer a problem.

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Tradeable

Goes perfectly with home accessories

Need a holder for my library (work in progress obviously) and this one has two of my favorite things: corvids and bones. The hole for the stick to drill was wrong and didn't hold the stick, but it's easily fixed with a drill and a smaller bit. Although I have to snap off the end of the stick about an inch to make sure the holder catches all the ash. Overall I really like this holder and am happy with my purchase.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • A few little things

Doesn't work well for its intended purpose

I like it very much. The only reason I give it 2 stars is that you have to trim the incense sticks a bit to fit. the opening for their placement is very difficult to find. Even after trimming, the incense stick hangs overboard and the ash falls to the surface. I started using it to hold some crystals/herbs instead of what it was bought for on purpose. I love crows/ravens so I'm keeping it. Otherwise I would probably give it away or return it.

Pros
  • Understandable even for old people
Cons
  • Compatibility

Some minor issues. - Home accessories

Great looking item arrived intact. What I don't understand is why make such an amazing incense burner than making a hole for the stick. 1- not deep enough for incense sticks even if you break them. 2- Drill a hole in the side to allow the sticks to hang down the side. So I had to take a very small drill bit and very carefully drill the hole straight and deep so it wouldn't pose a fire hazard. It took quite a bit of very careful drilling to get it right. Luckily I had a sufficiently long drill…

Pros
  • Finally bought

  • Some cons
