I like light fabrics, stitching, size and bright colors are perfect to fully cover my double bed. I love it so much I also bought a double size to make pillowcases.

Kantha blankets were introduced to me by a friend who owns several of them. I took a chance on this gorgeous, colorful king size bedspread. Amazing craftsmanship. It is imported from India and takes a little time to get here. This duvet is worth the wait. It is cool and ideal for the summer temperatures in the south.

I would give this 4 stars but it barely covers my double bed. I'm not sure if it's because it shrunk as I washed it immediately before putting it on the bed. The colors are bright and wash well (except for the possibility of shrinkage). Updated 1-star rating from 3 to 2: Quilting threads are already breaking. It is more decorative than everyday use.

I will be using this as a light bedspread between Summer and Fall/Winter and Spring. I find that the kantha stitches run the risk of unraveling and the colors can bleed. I will keep an eye on these issues. I think I can fix it with no problem if the stitching comes undone; However, since I haven't washed it yet, I don't plan on washing it until I find ways to keep the colors from bleeding. We have a queen size bed and we have bought a king size duvet. This is the perfect length if it was a few inches off the floor on each side of the bed. My husband and I prefer to have an extra room for blankets so we don't have to fight over it in the middle of the night haha. Wash it immediately with regular detergent. Nothing special.
