So far, so good. I've taken this in a kayak a few times and hooked it up to a standard Horizon HX290 VHF radio. Communication was easy. the device worked as it should. And washing is no problem. just watered it. I (fortunately) didn't really test the immersive rating. However, a waterproof device provides additional security and makes cleaning easier.

Excellent waterproof microphone with speaker! I paired it with a Yaesu FT-270R. Reception and transmission of sound is noticeably better than with standard components! The sound level is very clear, no distortion and LOUD. Especially if you cut it near the head. I was impressed by the signal from the local repeater.
