After installing a reset code and driving about 50 miles the check engine light came on with the same code so I ended up going to the dealer where they diagnosed it was the canister bad so I just replaced it with a factory Honda part from the dealer. I haven't had any problems in the last 300 miles. Send back today.

fits well, but did not solve the problem - also changed the valve, but also did not clear the codes . Too many connections to check so I took it to the first mechanic who couldn't find the problem. then to the dealer who kindly informed me it was a random emissions test. - problem never solved. Exact replacement, bought with Dorman valve 911-762 easy access under car, removed old, fitted new in 20 minutes; the valve was still ok but the bolts were rusted must have been leaking somewhere so I replaced both the canister and the valve together about $100 and there was no P1457 check engine light anymore - now I can MOT pass, which should happen in September; 1999 Accord LX, 4 cylinder, 5 speed, 207,000 miles, still running;

If you have never heard of this brand don't worry they are a European parts manufacturer.
