When I removed the old one I saw the coal was stuck inside. I shook everything out. Then I saw that one of the hoses was completely clogged with charcoal blocking the flow. I just took it off and shook it all off. It turns out this has been a problem all along. That's why some people, when they get them, only work a week or two, because that's the main problem.

Installed on my 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Lmtd to replace the factory unit that lasted the most of 475,000 miles. My original unit temporarily worked again when I tapped it a bit, sprayed various lubricants on the connectors and let it soak overnight. My temporary fixes were short-lived and I was fed up with seeing random CELs for the emissions system. (Now I forgot the code.) It took less than 1 minute to swap out the block and since then it's been working as it should.
