Correction of fuel pressure sensor error.

My Escape has had a terrible fuel pressure sensor error and my fuel mileage has gone down. 15 minutes fix (for an amateur by the way) and now the mileage is better than when you bought it! A NOTICE. You will still need to clear the trouble code from the car's computer using a scanner or by disconnecting both battery terminals. to turn off the check engine light. However, this solves the problem and affects gas mileage.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Some issues

Lack of instructions with product leaves a permanent check engine light

The product is the same I could buy at a national auto parts store for 1/5 the price. Delivery was quick. Installation was easy and intuitive, but there were no instructions on how to reset the DTC after installation. As a result, I kept getting error codes for checking the engine. It wasn't until an AutoZone rep told me how to reset the system that I stopped receiving OBD-II codes telling me that the sensor I just installed was faulty.

Pros
  • Best in the niche
Cons
  • Has defects

Cheap first try to repair code P0193

. I get code P0193 intermittently every 2-3 months on my 2006 Mustang. This increased every few weeks, then 3 times in 2 days. Have used SMP branded products in the past and have been satisfied. $40 for a US made part versus $15 for a Chinese one. But don't go all the way with $120 for a genuine Motorcraft part. A few weeks later the P0193 code is no longer showing, so after 16 years and 150,000 miles it must have been a faulty sensor. Seems to run smoother at low speed and high gear, used toโ€ฆ

Pros
  • . Pleased
Cons
  • Useless features

I bought a 'new' car a few months ago and the check engine light came on so I ran down the street, did a reading and it turned out to be this piece. After a quick internet search I thought this seemed easy enough. After checking some local stores that wanted $100-120 for a part I just searched Amazon and found it for $80. I think it took my car longer to stall after pulling the fuel pump fuse than replacing this part. 1 hose, 1 electronic clamp and 2 screws. Did it in the rain, probably in 5โ€ฆ
