Based on our own experience, this valve caused our car's engine to malfunction resulting in costly repairs .The only positive aspect is that it can be easily installed. However, the negative consequences outweigh any convenience. This valve is not reliable and we do not recommend purchasing it..

As someone who's fiddled around with cars for a long time I can confidently say that this valve from Standard Motor Products is just what you need to push your car`s performance to the limit. Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice, I simply compared the appearance and fitment with the old valve, and once I installed it, I experienced improved engine efficiency and an increase in horsepower... The only downside is that it's a bit pricier compared to other valves in the market. Nevertheless…

Incorrect thread size, probably not even metric, untested but looks like SAE pipe threads. Not suitable for 1997 Subaru Outback engine, don't waste your time.
