🔧 Enhanced EGR Valve Position Sensor by Standard Motor Products VP17 Review

My damn fault light has been on for too long. I applied this in about 10 minutes. The lamp did not go out immediately, but after a few cycles the trouble lamp went out. I have never had a problem with Revain Automotive parts, it was not my fault.

After replacing the switch that controls the EGR valve I did more research and found that it sends information to the switch along with the computer. This is by far the easiest part to replace. You don't need any tools! I looked in the pipes of the old one and saw a lot of dirt. Hope that helps?

Used on 2001 Ford Mustang 3.8L V6. I figured I needed it after a new EGR valve didn't fix my P0401 trouble code. I guessed right and drove 30 miles on a couple of cold starts and more P0401! I bought my Stang with quite a few codes and with that the last error code is gone and now my dashboard looks amazing without the "Service Engine Coming Soon" light.

This is the second time I've bought this for my dad's 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. Both times we used it for a month or less before seeing the warning label again to change it. When I ordered it for the second time on January 28th, I received it a few days later, installed it and already I see a warning sign, and it hasn't even been a month. It's February 14th. Please let me know if I am using the wrong one for our machine or something similar. We are very fed up with this constant cycle.
