I've bought the 25 foot version of the Stanley more than once - for myself and others. Both the 12ft and 25ft are excellent and I will definitely be buying them again. Very easy to use and not flimsy at all. I'm not sure about the strength of the tape in terms of how long it can stay in the air before bending, but at 25 feet it's pretty good that it doesn't bend easily. I have been buying Stanley products for many years and was very happy until I placed this order. I bought two of these so my wife and I have one at home and one in the garage, shop or wherever I work. I hope one of the two seems to be an aberration. The one I've used for projects doesn't have capture "tabs" at the end of the tab. I can't go 3 or 4 feet down the wall from the end I want to measure from before the tape falls off.
