Very good value. - Tape measures

Very good price and well finished. It doesn't have gearing on the take-up reel (plus for reliability), so when you extend it to full length, each crank turn pulls the tape back less than 6 inchesβ€”it takes a lot of rewinding. But it's reliable and very affordable. This tape is a great deal for consumers, but contractors who use it frequently would probably opt for a geared crank for faster rewinding.

Tamper Evident Packaging

The tape appears to be as advertised, as expected with the Stanley name attached. The packaging, on the other hand, was a nightmare. The tape is held to the anti-theft packaging via the tape's belt clip and is so firmly embedded in the thick plastic that it had to be cut into pieces with tin snips. I'm awaiting class action lawsuits from people who tried to force this product out of its packaging.

Works pretty well for tape measure

If you have a job that requires a long tape measure like this, you'll find it useful. I didn't have too much trouble with it. I mainly used it to lay out fence posts. I've only needed a tape measure that long a few times, but it was worth the cost if I never use it again. I don't think it's super durable for everyday use, but it was ok for what I needed it for. There is a winding crank on the back. I had no problems with that.
