Great product for linear measurements

I love that you can get two of these for a fairly low price. Easy to read. Fat max is ideal for sensitive eyes. What did I use it for? Lol things weigh.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Socket required

Faxmax is the only one!

Professional carpenter won't use any other tape measure. Because of the width of this band, it won't fold over you when you stretch it.

Pros
  • Heavy duty construction
Cons
  • Available in white only

Industry standard for a reason

There's a reason this tape is seen on the hips of 90% of professional traders. It is durable, reliable and accurate. What more can you ask for?

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • Repair

They do their job and are durable

I cut myself twice in one day with an old tape measure. The metal in these things is very sharp when it breaks, and I threw the old thing away. This was NOT one of them. They are durable, feel good in the hand and are easy to read. They have a metric scale but it is below the inch/feet scale so unlike the other new one I bought on sale you have to read it first. Very good buns.

Pros
  • Test for one year
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Read Misleading Reviews Part Time

I purchased this product after reading the reviews but I feel my use is different than most. I use it from time to time and now it's hard to open and one thing I really wanted was for it to stretch and not bend easily so that one person could use it. Mine doesn't stretch without flexing about 6 feet. I think pros like it, but for me it's a heavy paperweight to handle, so beware part-time users, pros go for it.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Big and Bulky

I ordered these because I wasn't happy with my last big store purchase.

I have my own sawmill to cut wood seriously. I can't seem to find a decent tape measure these days - one that has all the features I need yet is reliable. I really like the Stanley cassettes, they seem to be the best of any cassette for the money. The two packs were a good deal and they seem like good roulettes. Only time will tell but they are already vastly superior to the last one I bought from Blowes - the cobalt blue was on this band. Worn out in less than 15 minutes with simple use…

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • No

Read reviews misleading part-time workers

I purchased this product after reading the reviews but I think my use is different from the Majority. I use it occasionally and now it's unlikely to open and I really wish it stretched and didn't bend easily for a person. Mine doesn't stretch without flexing about 6 feet. I think pros might like it, but to me it feels like paper weight and is difficult to use, so part-time users should beware if pros choose it.

Pros
  • Armored blade on first 3 inches maximizes blade life
Cons
  • New competitors have emerged

My wife is an interior designer so she does one or two of these every year. They wear out, clog with it Site scrap, get lost etc. She prefers the Stanley so we're regulars. It seems the quality control isn't what it used to be.The last set we bought I had to tighten the screws holding the plastic cover held together as they were loose Someone must have slept that day.

Pros
  • 1-1/4" wide blade for better reading
Cons
  • Legacy model

P' Poor Value - Measuring & Marking Tools

You already buy these tools from a scalper who probably bought them from HD or Cost co for $20. Those particular Fat Max bands don't last that long. The blade on the first band immediately curled, and the blade on the second band immediately rusted and was unreadable thereafter. I ended up making 3 mistakes before cutting and throwing away the tape. Lately I've been having an issue with the blades twisting on these tapes. I've been trading for 20 years and never had this problem until last…

Pros
  • 11" Blade Prominent
Cons
  • Big & Bulky
