Nice boutique style coffee maker

Light jug but not small enough for hiking. Not durable and not big enough for car camping. This is a stylish looking kit but a little flimsy. Thin-walled stainless steel. The buckle on the lid is not a good idea. I love that Stanley tries again to replace them with a bottle, cooking sets and a coffee pot. But the material has to be durable.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Negative impression

The lid almost cracked. Good for coffee makers

Bought because of Stanley's reputation for durability. When rinsing after the second use, the lid came loose from the hinge strap. Upon inspection, I found that the hinge's contact point with the cover was barely punched/bonded. Bad design and unacceptable from STANLEY! A properly fastened lid is very important when camping. They don't want to lose cover and need to set up camp and go to STARBUCKS. horror!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Has flaws

Works great with coffee, tea and espresso

Very happy with this coffee maker, it worked well for me on the stove top and over the fire. I would have preferred the top handle to be glass rather than plastic, but I guess I'll come across one someday that I can replace with this. The brewing tips helped - the only percolator I've had prior experience with. was electric and I wasn't sure how to find the balance between oozing like I wanted and boiling (which would make the cup bitter).

Don't waste your money camping

I bought this product because I have other Stanley products and I like them. It's literally a piece of junk. Bought for a 5 day hike then thrown away. The lid is welded with snaps and fell off after 2 days of use. Then the bottom half of the clear plastic part of the lid has melted where the seepage is visible. Why they used cheap plastic that can melt on contact with boiling liquid in a percolator (instead of glass) is beyond me. It might be fine on the stove, but for camping, look elsewhere.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Too long a wait

I made so delicious hot coffee!

We didn't know what to expect from this coffee maker based on mixed reviews but it seemed to offer the best value for money. We never had a coffee maker but wanted to try one for drinking hot coffee while camping. We got to the camp and there were no instructions (I think we should have taken care of that before we left) anyway we sorted it out and it was such a good and very hot coffee! We had no problem with it falling on the fire grill. We knew its appearance would change as soon as we used…

Not impressed, not suitable for camping

Bought this coffee pot to replace an old camping set that started to rust after 10 years of use (different brand). Whilst this pot looks like the picture, I noticed a small corrosion spot on the lid on a hike after first use, towards the end of the trip I then noticed another flaw in its design, it tips over very easily. This kettle wasn't made for camp stoves because being long and narrow cylindrical it will tip over easily on any uneven surface which will surprise you with many of them. Not…

  • Fits many

  • Some difficulties

To be honest I am reviewing this seller, not the product. The first coffee maker arrived with a broken hinge. I thought anything can happen, it's okay, Revane gave me the code. I went to Kolya, got in line and sent it back. It was uncomfortable but I try to be sensible and NEVER give a bad review. But this is the second percolator, it took over a week to ship and when it arrived it had no percolator tube. Basket and lid are in place, hard to believe it's disposable. The one I bought my son 6…

Ideal for camping

I'll start by saying I'm very satisfied with the product, I bought it for a hike and I've used it several times and here are some comments and things I liked : - The result is a very pleasant coffee. - I've used it on my regular range cooktop and on a small camping butane gas stove and it worked great both times. - The process is relatively quick, I used it in a group of 10 people. With two or three rounds of coffee brewing, everyone had more than enough coffee and some drank more than once.…
