We didn't know what to expect from this coffee maker based on mixed reviews but it seemed to offer the best value for money. We never had a coffee maker but wanted to try one for drinking hot coffee while camping. We got to the camp and there were no instructions (I think we should have taken care of that before we left) anyway we sorted it out and it was such a good and very hot coffee! We had no problem with it falling on the fire grill. We knew its appearance would change as soon as we used it, and it definitely did, but now it's a cool gradient brown that doesn't bother us at all. We recommend.
