Best Value Hammers

You can't beat this hammer for the price. Well made fiberglass handle, good grip. For a homeowner or perhaps not a professional, I treat the purchase with great pleasure.

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Not Sure

Nice light hammer.

Nice lightweight hammer for everyday use. Not what you would use for house building, but perfect for driving small nails in for pictures and other small jobs.

Pros
  • Tools and Housewares
Cons
  • Doubtful

Lightweight and quality portable toolbox hammer

You won't build a house with this hammer, but it's a quality toolbox hammer when you need it for surprisingly simple jobs. Some posters (obvious idiots who don't know what 7 ounces mean) complained that it was a toy; it is not. I ordered this and Great Neck at the same time. The GN is good but the Stanly is much better quality and the best 7oz hammer I've seen on the market.

Pros
  • Claw hammers
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Handle too small and slippery

handle too small for the hands of a man or woman with large hands. This makes head control difficult and creates an awkward balance. It would be good for light work like hanging pictures and the quality is good as expected from Stanley. For a finishing hammer, there is a better choice, such as: B. the Vaughan 7 oz. with a regular size grip for better control and balance. I ordered the Vaughan from Home Depot for only $7.98 to replace the Stanley.

  • hammers
