I opened the package and wanted to return it. It was plastic. It didn't look strong enough to be usable. The boy was surprised. I was so excited to complete my project and used it all the time. I have small hands and I used it easily and never got tired. It was easy to press on the clamp. I have a metal I'm struggling with so I've put my project on hold. I bought two staplers, this one is TR110 Heavy Duty. I had to do some renovations and wasn't sure which would be the best. And I wanted a cheap one for the office for small things. He stays in the office. It's actually a good stapler, but the plastic doesn't feel that strong. If you just need to hang flyers or something like that, this is fine. I only bought this to attach targets to cardboard at the shooting range. For that it works great. However, I tried shooting 3/8" staples through the light plastic drawer liner and into the 1/4" birch wood bottom of the drawer and the staples barely penetrated the wood. This is only serious on very light tasks. I give it 5 stars as it does what it is advertised to do. Don't expect this to shoot any wood other than soft pine with small clamps.
