Review on πŸ”§ Stanley TR35 Compact Stapler for Light Duty Tasks by Andrew Dickens

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Light Load is very accurate - don't expect more.

I only bought this to attach targets to cardboard at the shooting range. For that it works great. However, I tried shooting 3/8" staples through the light plastic drawer liner and into the 1/4" birch wood bottom of the drawer and the staples barely penetrated the wood. This is only serious on very light tasks. I give it 5 stars as it does what it is advertised to do. Don't expect this to shoot any wood other than soft pine with small clamps. BTW, if you try to load the staples the way you might be used to loading other older models (removing the spring-loaded mechanism from the back of the stapler and inserting the staples in there), you'll find that if you try, you won't go into it and will not convince you that there is a design/quality issue. That's not it. Just read the download instructions.
