Works best in tarpaulins and ties

Used this tarp for 2 years at camping festivals to crawl under a tent and then wrap it around. It worked very well for a very long time until a big storm destroyed it. We wrapped it around the tent and tied the sides together with rope so that the tent was completely hidden from view. We had a lot of stuff and we were in a tent on a hillside ourselves when it started raining and roaring very hard. Eventually the tarpaulin filled with a heap of water and tore. But I think it just goes to showโ€ฆ

It wasn't difficult to fix, but it's not amazing workmanship. More

I have one of those 6 foot plastic outdoor tables that you use for crafts, summer dinners, etc. Unfortunately due to lack of space it now has to be stored outside and I bought a tarp to cover it. It covers very well. The reason for the four stars instead of five is that the panel they used to reinforce the corners is not very audible and one fell off on first use. It wasn't difficult to fix, but it's not amazing workmanship. However, I recommend the product and may buy another if needed.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence

  • There are even more interesting options.

Don't waste money!

It's very rare that I leave a really bad review, but this tarp deserves one! The size was supposed to be 12 x 16 feet, but the fine print said the final size was smaller. So 1) it didn't match the intended range. and 2) just rolling it out on a clean concrete garage floor ripped it. As soon as a hole appeared in it, more holes magically appeared. They were unstoppable! It arrived the next day and was relatively cheap compared to similar sizes, but once I held it in my hands I understood whyโ€ฆ

Convenient to hand, great price with extra charge. I love brown!

Good price as an add-on at $2.21 each. I have bought 3 so far. It's always handy to have a smaller tarp for outdoor use. Brown goes well together (even better than using a green tarp). If they start to deteriorate from outdoor use, it doesn't matter much. I wasn't looking for waterproofing either. Just need to cover up every once in a while for the stuff I sell, the stuff in the bed of a pickup (recycle) etc. Not as fragile as the 99 cent store tarp (blue, raw edges, very thin, deterioratesโ€ฆ

what did i just buy? !

What I ordered and what came varied from day to night. The product description is a fiction. average weight? nope Thin as an old sheet. rope edges? Try yarn. ripstop? The? No, it's the same thin polyester everywhere, with no thicker threads. Rust-resistant bushings? Maybe until they are exposed to abrasion, water or oxygen. It's just cheap low carbon steel with a thin coating. No brass or stainless steel. Reinforced corners. Yes, it is true. But reinforcing this material is pointless. Tryโ€ฆ

ANOTHER, ANOTHER, ANOTHER - NOT LONG-LASTING. GENERAL!

If you want durability, look further. This "tarpaulin" may be fine for short-term use, but it is very light. It's more like the wicker shipping cover you find when you order cargo, meaning it's meant for one-time use. Update April 2017: My first estimate was correct. In February 2017, this tarp was installed outdoors in a relatively sheltered area. Well dense, without high winds, without excessive sun exposure, in the temperate Midwest climate. Today, after less than four months of exposure, Iโ€ฆ

Not terrible just very light

I ordered this tarp to cover firewood. When it came out there was a marketing insert/tag attached to the tarp that looked like regular clear tape, nothing special. I went to take it off and the tape peeled off the underside of the brown part of the tarp (apparently it's some sort of laminated construction). So not the end of the world, but I was disappointed that the new tarpaulin was already damaged. Thanks to the seller for sending me a replacement free of charge. I used the original tarp for
