Attention 6.0 owners! Standard

Radiator cap, you had a JOB. Bought to replace the cap on my degas bottle for my 06 PSD. On my car for a few days. During some work my mechanical pressure tested it and it failed. With 6.0 PSD engines, the pressure and temperature in the cooling system are critical. It is simply unacceptable that this highly acclaimed closure should not hold a pressure. Sending back soon and my diesel mech has the OEM cap on.

Excellent replacement for 6

Excellent replacement for 6.4f series trucks. Can't beat the price. Replacing this cover will ensure your cooling system is working properly again in no time. how do you wear it I remind f series owners. If your coolant tank is getting cloudy, check the coolant cap to see if it's holding the correct psi. Also, flush it every 80,000 miles or if you use it for business like any other owner. Every 60,000 km. Stay tuned. Then your truck will outlast all makes and models.

  • Very impressive

Highly recommend: Caps

Saw a YouTube video of them being worn quite a bit and recommended this particular brand/style. I have a 7.3 01 diesel Ford and he said that every time the diesel truck came in for service he changed the radiator cap as part of the regular service. He said that every time the problematic 6.0 Power Stroke came in for repairs, mostly due to overheating, he checked the radiator cap EVERY time and it was bad or faulty. A car with a defective radiator cap is registered as colder than it really isโ€ฆ

This cap is rated for 16psi

My old cap was Ford junk and only held about 8psi. Yes. Immediately after installing this new radiator cap, the truck was leaking coolant in several places! The truck never built up enough pressure to detect leaks until I had a good cap. You need to keep an eye on your engine and watch for coolant leaks after replacing your old cap with this one! Anyway, $2,000 in repairs to replace some hoses and I'm back in business. I expect a lot from my pickup and was very upset to find out that I had just

This thing saved my nose and lungs

Well, most of the coolant caps you can buy these days have a clicking look that can't be tightened. I've had the car since 2014 and it has always given off a terrible coolant smell along with a slow drop in coolant level. After testing it at several dealers (who found no leaks), I decided to get one of the caps that you can tighten (like this one). Note that I've had just about every type of cap I could find to fix this (new OEM, aftermarket, you name it, I've tried). The bottom line is thatโ€ฆ

High quality for a fraction of what the dealer is selling

Radiator caps don't last forever. They have rubber seals and pressure relief springs and simply wear out over time. It is recommended that the radiator cap be replaced every four or five years to ensure it is securely holding the correct pressure. At a price of only a few euros, there is no reason not to do this as part of regular maintenance. It is best to let your car cool down overnight and put the radiator cap back on in the morning before you start the car. It's as simple as removing theโ€ฆ

ERROR IN THE MIDDLE OF SOMEWHERE, $550 ERROR

2000 Ford F350 7.3 Diesel. This outgassing gas cap (radiator cap) GOT FAIL in the middle of nowhere (Kansas Turnpike/Interstate 35). I lost most of my engine coolant on the Kansas Turnpike between Wichita and Emporia when the stant cap ruptured. The services are roughly 30 miles apart and of course stant coverage between service areas will run out at 8pm. I hobbled to the nearest rest stop and filled the radiator with enough water to take me to the next town. I was forced to stay the nightโ€ฆ
